Cate had photos taken at daycare a few weeks ago. We got them today and they turned out really good. Amazing how she looks like a little girl now…just yesterday she looked like a baby.

As you’ve probably noticed the website has not been updated very much lately. Let me first say that the site will be updated more often going forward. There are many reasons for the delay, 10 of them actually. They are:

10. Gymboree had a really long sale (Brooke made me go)
9. Cate needed to use the computer to study for the SAT’s
8. We’ve been too busy shopping for a big wheel
7. Cate says blogging is so 2008 and says a cool dad would send out tweets
6. There is no internet access on the big girl potty and we’ve been spending a lot of time there
5. Cate hid the password to this website in the same place she put the remote control, her shoes, and fill in the blank with any other really important thing at the very least opportune time.
4. I’ve been too busy fending off little boys with a baseball bat
3. She really tries to limit her mom and dad’s time in front of the TV and computer as she says it will turn our brains to mush
2. She’s really been focusing on her grades at school

and the number 1 reason for the delay in updates…

1. Cate asked me ‘What doing Daddy?’ 7,432 times in January and I just got done answering all of them

The video below is Cate on her scooter. She does better going backwards than forwards but she is getting it. I like the picture of Cate on the phone. It’s her talking to her pal Ben. I wish I would’ve been thinking fast enough to film the conversation as it was pretty funny. I can only imagine what Ben was thinking on the other end when a very LOUD little girl was asking him “What doing Ben???”…over and over again.

Cate went boating on her Papa’s boat this weekend and had a blast. Saw a ton of rays, several dolphins, and a manatee. Ok, Cate slept through some of that stuff but the adults had a good time nonetheless. She is too cool in her shades…

Well, it’s hard to believe that we celebrated Cate’s 2 year birthday party yesterday. We had a bounce house, Zoe cake, and friends and family to celebrate. Cate had a great birthday. A week or two ago we ran overr to Port Orleans at Disney for the night. Just to hang out and have some fun. We had a really good time. When Cate found out she was going to swim she wanted to wear her Elmo bathing suit. She wore it all the way from Tampa to Orlando. Here are some pictures of the trip:

Cate’s Nana and Poppa got her a swing for Christmas. I know, I know…she got the present early but it’s a little hard to hide the swing from a little girl that likes to be outside A LOT. After 176 hours of labor in assembling all 18,000 parts here are some pictures of the finished product and a shot or two of it in use. She would sleep on the thing if we’d let her.
